Addressing the
Operational Friction.
Hospital leadership and IT departments ask hard questions. We have hard answers. Here are the most common objections and how the Constitution structurally resolves them.
Technology & IT
No. Sentinel is not an application. It is the operational infrastructure layer that sits above and beside your existing systems. Your EMR captures what should have happened (clinical intent). Sentinel captures what actually happens (physical execution). It coordinates the work between your EMR, bed management, housekeeping, and admissions.
In Phase 1, integration is minimal or non-existent. We use manual triggers (WhatsApp, voice, App taps) to prove operational value without IT dependency. In Phase 2, we integrate read-only with your HIS to automatically detect discharge/billing events, triggering Sentinel without human intervention.
Sentinel is designed with a 'Manual-First' fallback. If the system goes offline, the hospital reverts to the Manual Coordination Protocol (using printed escalation lists and WhatsApp), which was established and tested during the initial deployment. Data submitted after reconnection is timestamped and flagged for review.
Staff Adoption & Operations
Sentinel is voice-first by design. HK staff do not need a smartphone or an app. They receive an automated phone call in their local language (e.g., Telugu or Hindi). They press '1' to accept the task, and they use a standard missed call to signal the start and completion of cleaning. Zero training, zero data plan required.
WhatsApp is a communication tool, not an execution engine. It relies on individual memory, creates no accountability, and produces no forensic data. Sentinel enforces the workflow: it assigns the task, tracks the time, auto-escalates if the staff member doesn't respond, and requires supervisor verification before a room is marked READY.
Escalation. If an HK staff member doesn't answer their assignment call (after 3 attempts), the task auto-escalates to the HK Supervisor. If the Supervisor doesn't act within 2 minutes, it escalates to the Floor Manager. The system makes it structurally impossible for a task to simply disappear.
Compliance & Privacy
No. Sentinel operates under a mathematical Non-Clinical Air-Gap. The constraint-engine is incapable of processing clinical variables (vitals, diagnoses, lab results). It processes only time, location, and role. It is classified as a logistical router, not a medical device.
No. Sentinel does not store patient names, diagnoses, or treatment plans. It stores operational events (e.g., 'Room 404 became vacant at 14:32'). This protects the hospital from data breach liability and ensures compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, and India's DPDP Act.
Sentinel automatically generates an immutable, timestamped forensic record of every room turnover, escalation, and supervisor verification. When an NABH assessor asks for evidence of infection control and discharge coordination, you can export cryptographically signed logs that prove compliance, rather than relying on manual paperwork.
Commercials
Sentinel is priced as infrastructure, not SaaS. We do not charge per seat. We charge a transaction-based execution fee (per coordinated operational event) and an institutional licensing fee. The exact pricing is determined after the initial Operational Assessment. The first 14-day manual pilot is always free.
The ROI is captured in reduced bed turnover time (from 150 minutes to under 20 minutes), increased bed availability, reduced nursing time spent chasing housekeeping, and eliminated revenue leakage from unverified rooms. At Bhaskara Hospital, we collapsed the Dead Zone by over 80%.
